Iran, Brazil to Develop Cooperation in ICT PDF Print E-mail

February 27.2010 - Parmand Telecom -  Iranian and Brazilian officials in a meeting on Monday agreed to expand their cooperation in Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

During the meeting, Brazilian Deputy Science and Technology Minister Czar Gadella announced his country's willingness to transfer and exchange ICT innovations with the other countries, and described the role of ICT in the progress of Brazil's newly-developed economy as "much important" and "vital".

He also visited the technological productions of Iran's ICT firms in an exhibition held on the sidelines of the meeting, and expressed surprise over scientific and technological development in Iran.

Gadella expressed the hope that the cooperation between the Brazilian and Iranian sides would expand in this field in the future.

Also on the sidelines of the meeting attended by officials and directors of the Presidential Office for Science and Technology and Technological Cooperation, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Cooperation Amir Kaniyan described Iran-Brazil continued cooperation in ICT as "important", saying that the move helps promote the scientific and economic levels of the two countries.
