August 02.2010 - parmand Telecom - Within next two years all of Tehran Municipality activities will be carried out electronically using information technology, Tehran Mayor consultant in youth affairs announced.

"Some 80 Tehran Municipality operations will be carried out electronically and already in the human resources department information technology is being heavily deployed," Majid Husseini has said.

He said e-City was Tehran Municipality's main strategy and the municipality was the country's most successful organization with regards to IT.

"Tehran Municipality portal was last year elected best portal and we have used 260km fiber optic cables in the past three years which equals the country's total fiber optic cable production," he added.
