August 08.2010 - Parmand Telecom - The second mobile operator, IranCell-MTN, has been formally ordered to halt the sale of its sim cards.

"Mobile operators are not permitted to issue sim cards beyond their license quota and it is the duty of Radio Communication and Regulations Organization to stop such a practice," RCRO president, Mohammad Karampour , told Mobna news agency.

He said, however, that mobile operators could always apply for a revision of their license quota.Amid widespread public criticisms of IranCell current practices, the operator's sale of 0939 sim card continues.
