August 23.2010 - Parmand Telecom -  There will be a special workgroup which would produce a blueprint on the country's telecommunication tariffs in the information technology sector, Competition Council president announced.

"The group will have three members from the ICT Ministry," Jamshid Pajouyan told Mobna news agency.
He said the workgroup was part of the National Center for Competition Council and for its decisions to be legally binding they had to be ratified by the council.
"The group's first meeting was held last week and there also be a similar workgroup for the transportation sector," he added.
The Competition Council was established nearly a year-and-a-half ago based on article 44 of the constitution.
According to chapter 9 of the Fourth Economic Development Plan and item 5 of section 58 of the constitution's article 44, all regulations on pricing, quantity and access method within the telecommunication sector are part of the Competition Council responsibilities.
