June 1.2009 - Parmand Telecom - Private sector has launched 600,000 high speed internet ports in Iran, Radio Communication and Regulations Organization deputy said.

"Out of them about 273,000 ports have been launched and are used," Hasan Rezvani told Iran's mobile news agency.
"Launching 600,000 high speed ports regarding private sector problems is proper amount. There were problems in PAP companies (high speed internet providers) contracts, so they could not implement their commitments," he said.

"PAP companies license should be studied comprehensively and a new plan for the companies future should be offered," he continued.

"PAP companies license is under study in telecommunication ministry in order to set new solutions for problems," he added.
