January 09.2010 - Parmand Telecom - Some 80,000 Hyundai mobile sets have been assembled in the country since the beginning of the year, Emad Semiconductors managing director announced. "The company aims to manufacture 150,000 Hyundai mobile sets in the whole of current year," Hamid-Reza Monji told Mobna news agency. "With the present stagnant domestic mobile market, most buyers now go for famous foreign brands," he said. He said, however, that domestic mobile production could be improved if there was a serious crackdown on mobile set smuggling.
