January 27.2010 - Parmand Telecom - There are 15 locations along Tehran's 57 highways where mobile signal reception is poor but will be put right by the end of the year, Mobile Company of Iran network optimization director announced.

"This is part of company's second phase of network optimization which will be completed by the end of current year," Majid Mokhtarnia told Mobna news agency.

"We also experience poor reception at some new metro stations and hope to fix them by the end of the year," he added.
MCI network optimization began last year by removing overshoot sites and redesigning the network. The operator has around 35 million pre- and postpaid sim card subscribers and one third of them live in Tehran.
