February 08.2010 - Parmand Telecom - Three million MCI prepaid sim cards will be on sale soon in an effort to bring the number of Mobile Company of Iran subscribers to 38 million, Telecommunication Company of Iran chief announced. "MCI pre- and postpaid sim card subscribers are now around 35 million, but as MCI license stipulates that its subscribers should number 38 million at the end of the Fourth Economic Development Plan – which is less than two months away – we shall be selling three million postpaid sim cards soon," Vafa Ghaffarian told Mobna news agency. The price of MCI postpaid sim card now stands at 226,000 rials and the company intends first and foremost to increase the number of its postpaid subscribers.
