­April 10.2010 - Parmand Telecom - China Mobile and Taiwan's Far EasTone have jointly announced plans to develop a TD-LTE network in Taiwan for test purposes. Far EasTone is already operating a test network based on the Chinese 3G standard, TD-SCDMA. The new TD-LTE trial network will be built in Taipei.

The CEO of Kenya's Safaricom has been quoted by local news media as saying that the mobile network operator will start testing an LTE network later this year.

Warid Telecom says that it has won a telecommunications supply contract from Pakistan International Airlines for unspecified voice and data services.

Slovenia's Mobitel has launched a HSPA+ upgrade on its network, local news media has reported.
